Built for maximum compatibility with sleeved cards, coin capsules, and both expansions. The insert is designed for the base game plus expansions and matches their full scope exactly.

Space is unstable, timelines are tearing apart, and only a perfectly organized system keeps you effective in the fight against the alien fleet. Every component is arranged so you can jump straight into the game without sorting.

What the insert does

Every part of the insert system is shaped around the components of Warp's Edge, expansions included. The color labeling sits flush with the surface, on both upper inlays and on the main tray, so it stays legible for years instead of wearing off like a printed label.

The markers get their own dedicated compartment system, built around coin capsules (sold separately). These don't just protect the markers better, they're also easier to pick up and set back down. Purpose-made card deck dividers in sturdy plastic keep the cards of both expansions cleanly separated from the base game.

Markers and cards also benefit from ergonomic angled edges that make it easier to lift pieces out, especially when several fingers reach into a compartment at once. The coin capsules for the expansions are separated by 3D-printed black dividers with white labeling, so it's clear at a glance what belongs to which expansion.

Full setup takes under 2 minutes. Cards, markers, tiles, and accessories all get a fixed, structured spot, so you're not hunting or re-sorting before your next game night. Sleeved cards fit up to 60 µm, and in the base game alone, without expansions, up to 100 µm is possible.

Insert structure

The system consists of a central main tray and two upper marker inlays, each matched directly to a phase of play.

In the main tray (first level):

2 card compartments hold sleeved cards using sleeves SKS-8810 or SKS-7711, and we clearly recommend SKS-7711. Printed plastic cards (320g/m²) with UV printing separate the cards of the two expansions. 6 individual compartments are set up for the power markers in coin capsules, supported by divider tabs that separate the base game's markers from those of the Anomaly and Viral Invasion expansions. Between the two card compartments sits a central tray for the damage markers, plus an extra coin capsule compartment for the markers of both expansions.

In the two inlays (second level):

Both inlays have their own compartment for warp, shield, hull, and mothership markers, along with another one built for coin capsules holding energy, maneuver, laser, and power markers.

How to set it up

Once the main tray is in place, add the following directly: the "The Singularity" story book from the base game, 4 fighter ship boards, 5 mothership boards, 1 bag from the Anomaly expansion, and both reference sheets for Anomaly and Viral Invasion.

Then place the two inlays and fill them with 1 reference sheet, the base game rulebook, and a bag with 10 white-edged markers laid flat side by side.

Everything ends up separated, organized, and instantly accessible.

Material and design

The insert is durably 3D-printed in ABS. The color labeling on both inlays and the main tray is applied to a high standard. The design stays deliberately single-color and black, with a subtle embossed pattern as its only visual accent. A small ReDesign logo is embedded into one of the marker inlays.
